Boston U.'s Dubay Tabbed ECAC Softball Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Boston University's Melissa Dubay (Auburn, Wash./Auburn Riverside) the league's Division I Softball Player of the Week late Wednesday, April 2 for the week ending March 30. Dubay, a junior shortstop, was named the America East Softball Player of the Week on Monday, March 31.

Dubay batted .500 (10-for-20) in seven games last week, blasting six of her 10 hits for extra bases. She hit three doubles, one triple and two home runs to drive in eight runs total. Dubay also recorded two walks and two strikeouts. The shortstop drove in the game-winning runs in a 3-1 win over St. Peter’s and was 3-for-6 in the doubleheader vs. Vermont.

The Terrier has been named the America East Player of the Week twice this season already. She leads the conference in batting average (.432), slugging percentage (.743) and total bases (55), and is second in RBI (21) and doubles (7).
