CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- With a 10-5 win over Hartford on Saturday, Binghamton has secured the fourth and final spot in the 2008 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship, which begins on Thursday, May 1 at UMBC.
The Bearcats (4-7, 2-3
America East), who won two of their final three conference games to make the tournament, will face top-seeded UMBC in the second seminfinal on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Retrievers (10-3, 5-0 America East) have won a program-record nine straight games and are the fifth-ranked team in the country.
No. 2 Albany (7-7, 4-1 America
East) will take on No. 3 Stony Brook (7-6, 3-2 America East) in the first
semifinal at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The championship game will be played on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship. The game will be video streamed by Pack Network and available

Tickets for the tournament are on sale now and available through the UMBC Retrievers Ticket Center. All-session passes for adults
will be $15, while all-session tickets for youths 14 and under and America East
students with a valid ID will be sold for $4. Individual tickets will be $8 for
adults and $2 for youths and America East students.
