Watch Boston U., Vs. New Hampshire Advance In Women's Lacrosse Championship Game Live

BOSTON - Boston University and New Hampshire, two nationally-ranked programs, will meet for the America East Women's Lacrosse Championship on Sunday April 27 at the Terriers' Nickerson Field after each posted wins in the semifinal round on Friday.

The winner of the America East Championship will take on the champion of the Northeast Conference on Saturday, May 3 for a trip to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Top-seeded Boston U. won its 12th straight game overall, a 17-6 decision over fourth-seeded Albany. Second-team all-conference selections Traci Landy and Lauren Morton paced the Terriers with four and three goals, respectively. Boston U., which led 11-2 at halftime, won 19-25 draw controls in the game.

Third-seeded New Hampshire avenged its regular-season loss to second-seeded Vermont with a 15-6 win over the Catamounts. The Wildcats outscored the Catamounts 11-2 in the second half, after the game was tied at four at the break. First-team all-conference selection Sarah Von Bargen led UNH with seven points and found the back of the cage five times.

The Terriers, the nation's eighth-ranked team, and the Wilcats, who are ranked 14th in the country, have met for the league title five times previously with Boston U. going 4-1 in those contests. Boston U. has won three straight titles and five of the last six overall, while UNH captured the 2004 league crown.
