CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--University of New Hampshire's Robert Edgerton and Stony Brook University's Dana Hastie earned weekly honors as America East Men's and Women's Track Performers of the Week, while University at Albany's Luke Schoen and teammate Arina Gerasimova received America East Men's and Women's Field Performers of the Week. The conference made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon for the week ending April 21.
Senior Edgerton (Cornish, N.H./Windsor, Vt.) competed at the Dartmouth College Outdoor Meet on April 19, where he won the 800-meters and set a school record by finishing in an NCAA East Regional-qualifying time of one minute, 49.41 seconds, which was nearly two seconds faster than the runner-up. The NCAA East Regional will take place May 30-31 at Florida State University.
Senior Hastie (Wellington, New Zealand) was the fourth collegiate athlete to cross in the 10,000-meter event at the Mount SAC Relays in a time of 34:14.53. She earned a NCAA East Regional Provisional qualifying time and broke the previous school record set in 1985 by almost two minutes; her time currently puts her 16th in the country.
Sophomore Schoen (Bohemia, N.Y./West Islip) won the pole vault by clearing the bar at an IC4A-qualifying and season-best height of 16-feet, 4.75-inches to lead the Great Danes to a first-place finish at the 13-team New York Relays on Sunday, April 20 at Icahn Stadium in New York, N.Y.
Senior Gerasimova (Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine/Gen. Specialized School #59) won the triple jump with a school-record setting and ECAC and NCAA East Regional-qualifying leap of 41-feet, 10.75-inches to lead the Great Danes to a first-place finish at the 11-team New York Relays on Sunday, April 20 at Icahn Stadium in New York, N.Y. The leap surpassed the previous record of 41-feet, 2.25-inches set by Sarah Charles at the UAlbany Classic on April 21, 2007. Also finished second in the long jump with a distance of 17-feet, 6-inches. Named the meet's Most Outstanding Female Performer for her efforts.

The men’s team cruised to victory with 291 points, while the women’s team recorded 233 points for a commanding win.

Boston UThe Boston University outdoor track and field team appeared in multiple competitions over the weekend, participating in both the Mt. San Antonio College Relays and at the Husky Spring Invitational. Senior Jake Laroe had the top finish for the Terriers at Mt. SAC, placing third in the 1500m, while the women's 4x100 team set a new school record at UConn and senior Tahari James completed the fourth-best triple jump in the country, also finishing third in the 100m.

The Wildcats finished with 61 points, trailing Dartmouth (120), but leading the University of Vermont (19) and Middlebury College (7).
