Boston's Marisa Ryan and Binghamton's Rory Quiller Receive USTFCCCA Regional Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Boston University's Marisa Ryan and Binghamton University's Rory Quiller were each awarded USTFCCCA Northeast Regional indoor track and field honors from the National coaches' association as announced on Tuesday.

In each of the country’s nine regions, the USTFCCCA selects the top men’s and women’s track athlete, field athlete, head coach and assistant coach for the 2008 NCAA Division I indoor season. 

Ryan received the top Northeast women's track athlete award. Ryan was the top track performer at the America East Conference meet, winning the mile and the 3,000 meters as the Terriers claimed the team championship. Ryan, a senior from Farmington, Conn., is a two-time America East Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Quiller was recognized as the top male field athlete from the Northeast. Quiller finished second at the USA Indoor Championships in the pole vault with a personal-best jump of 18-4?.  Quiller, a graduate student from West Point, N.Y., also won his fourth straight America East title. He placed second at last year’s NCAA Indoor Championships.
