CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- New Hampshire’s Ashley Durepo (Concord, N.H./Concord) and Ashley Milley (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) have been named America East Women’s Lacrosse Player and Defender of the Week, respectively. Albany’s Tee Ladouceur (Slingerlands, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) garnered Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending March 9.
Durepo, a junior attack, scored five goals and handed our six assists in a two wins last week, including an 8-7 victory over 10th-ranked Yale on Wednesday. She tallied three points and one caused turnover against the Bulldogs. She followed that performance with a career-high eight points and five foals in an 18-4 win over Connecticut on Friday.
Milley, a senior goalkeeper, stopped 12 of 23 shots and allowed just 11 goals in two UNH wins. She made two keys saves at the end of the game to preserve the win over Yale. She also have four saves in the victory over the Huskies.
Ladouceur scored 10 goals to lead the Great Danes to a 2-1 mark in three games last week. She found the back of the cage three times, all in the second half in a 10-7 come-from-behind win against Le Moybe on Saturday. She also scored four goals in a loss to Harvard on Wednesday and a had three goals, five ground balls and four draw controls in an 18-8 win over crosstown-rival Siena on Monday.

Albany (3-2) rallied in the second half for a 10-7 victory over Le Moyne on March 9... The Great Danes defeated crosstown-rival Siena (18-8) and lost to unbeaten Harvard (16-10) earlier in the week... Stacey Brown (East Islip, N.Y. / East Islip) recorded career-highs in goals (3) and points (4) against Le Moyne, as her team regrouped from a 7-2 halftime deficit against the defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion... Christine Grueniger (Lindenhurst, N.Y. / Lindenhurst) tallied back-to-back to begin her team’s run of eight unanswered... Tee Ladouceur (Slingerlands, N.Y. / Bethlehem Central) scored three second-half goals... Kayla Best (Guilderland, N.Y. / Guilderland) gave her team the lead for good with 9:36 remaining and extended her scoring streak to 18 consecutive games... Grueniger, a sophomore attack who also scored three times against Harvard, has netted three or more goals against eight opponents as a collegian... Ladouceur totaled 10 goals in three games last week, including a career-high four at Harvard... The Crimson came back from a 6-4 halftime deficit to open with three consecutive wins for the first time since 2000... Ladouceur, a freshman, accounted for two goals and two assists, plus registered career-highs in ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (4) versus Siena... The Great Danes have won all eight meetings in the Siena series since upgrading to Division I in 2000... Jane Bush (Jordan, N.Y. / Jordan-Elbridge) tied a career-best with four points (2 goals, 2 assists) vs. the Saints... Brittany Scott (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) added a season-high three points (2 goals, 1 assists) in that contest... Scott, whose father was a National Hockey League goalkeeper, has earned a roster spot on the Canadian National Team.
Boston University (2-1) senior co-captain Lauren Morton (Glenside, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy) has notched two or more points in each game this season, including a five-goal, six-point effort against Massachusetts on Feb. 27... With four draw controls on Sunday at No. 1 Northwestern, Morton set a new record at Boston University for career draw controls with 146, overtaking Alyssa Trudel ’05 who had 142... Junior Sarah Dalton, who led the Terriers with 52 goals last season, returned to play Sunday after missing the first two games of the season with an injury, scoring three goals in her return... BU has scored eight goals in 13 free-position opportunities, scoring at a 61.5 percent scoring clip in those chances. Last year, the Terriers were 36-87 on free-position chances, scoring 41.3 percent of the time... After Sunday’s 19-10 loss against No. 1 Northwestern, BU has gone 0-3 during the regular season against teams ranked in the top five since a 9-8 victory over Georgetown on April 9, 2006.
UMBC (2-4, 1-1 America East) dropped a pair of games last week, falling at home to America East rival Vermont, 14-5, on March 4, and at perennial foe Old Dominion, 9-5, on March 8... Freshman midfielders Kristen Milligan (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and Carrie Paris (Longwood, Fla./Lake Brantley) each scored their first career goals... Senior attack Ali Levendusky (Baldwin, Md./John Carroll) had her 11-game goal streak and 13-game point streak snapped by the Catamounts, but she bounced back to score three goals against the Lady Monarchs... Levendusky has posted a hat trick in five out of the first six games this season, and she leads the Retrievers with 19 goals and 20 points on the year... The retrievers continue their four-game road trip with games at Delaware on March 10 and cross-town rival Towson on March 15.
New Hampshire (3-2, 0-0 AE) went 2-0 last week with an 8-7 road victory against 10th-ranked Yale and an 18-4 win at home vs. UConn ... The win at Yale marked the Wildcats’ first against a nationally-ranked team since March 16, 2006, when the ?Cats defeated #18 Towson ... It also marked UNH’s first win vs. the Bulldogs since March 25, 1994 (13 consecutive losses since that date) ... Ashley Durepo (Concord, N.H/Concord) is the only Wildcat who has scored a goal in all five games this season ... She tallied career highs in both assists (five) and points (eight) against UConn ... The eight points marked the highest total by a Wildcat since March 29, 2006, when Katie Leland tallied eight points vs. Brown; the five assists is the highest by a UNH player since April 10, 2004, when Leland had that many at Stony Brook ... Susie Piotrkowski (Franklin, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) erupted for six points with five goals and an assist against UConn; she had tallied one point through four games ... Sarah Andersen (Concord, N.H./Concord) recorded her first career point with a goal vs. UConn ... Deb Dale (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) tallied her first career point with an assist in that game ... Allie Duclos (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) netted her first goal against the Huskies.
Stony Brook (2-2) fell to Brown, 15-8 on Saturday afternoon. Senior Diana Caroleo (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) had three goals and an assist to lead the Seawolves. After Brown scored to make it 10-1, the Seawolves' offense came to life. Stony Brook scored five straight goals to cut the Brown lead to 10-6 with 15:38 left to go in the game. Freshman Samantha Djaha (East Islip, N.Y.) had two goals in the span and junior Kaitlin Leggio (Bay Shore, N.Y.) capped it off with an unassisted goal. Stony Brook is home for Sacred Heart on Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm before traveling to face Monmouth on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.
Vermont earned a 14-5 win at UMBC in the league opener for the Catamounts in the lone game of the week ... Junior Kristen Millar (Whitby, Ontario/Sinclair Secondary) led the Catamounts with five goals and seven points ... Midfielder Jessa Merrill (Kennebunk, Maine/Kennebunk) recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers and anchored a defensive unit that held the Retrievers to five goals and their leading scorer Ali Levandusky pointless in the game ... Freeshman Megan MacDonald (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) registered her first career goals as a Catamounts scoring twice at UMBC ... Vermont is 2-0 to start the season for the second time in three years under Johnson ... UVM won its league opener for the first time since 2005 ... Millar, who became UVM’s all-time leader in assists in the season opener against UConn, increased her career total to 50 in the game ... The Catamounts will play three games in six days ... UVM travels to North Carolina for spring break and will take on No. 3 Duke on Tuesday (March 11) and Davidson on Thursday (March 13) before returning home to host LeMoyne on Sunday (March 16).
