CAMBRIDGE. Mass.-- As part of the America East Conference's first-ever enhanced streaming package, two women's basketball games have been added to the lineup as wildcard games determined by the conference standings. Those games include the match-up this Saturday, February 9 between the Boston University Terriers and the Hartford Hawks, and the Binghamton Bearcats' trip to Durham, N.H. on March 1st to face the New Hampshire Wildcats.
The America East enhanced streaming games-- known as PackCasts-- are available for free at the AmericaEastZone at AmericaEast.com live through the conference's partnerships with Pack Network and JumpTV Sports. PackCasts are archived at the AmericaEastZone for "on-demand" viewing at any time following the live broadcast.
The game between the Hawks and the Terriers at Chase Arena beginning at 2 p.m. is a rematch of a January 5 PackCast at Case Gym. Boston U.'s Kristi Dini hit a half-court buzzer-beating shot to lift the Terriers to a 62-60 victory. Since then, Hartford has gone on a seven game winning streak and sits at the top of the conference standings. Boston University is in a four-way tie for second-place at the midway point of the America East schedule. Chris Wojcik will call the game from West Hartford, Conn.
Tipoff on March 1 is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Lundholm Gymnasium. The Bearcats are one of the four teams currently sitting in second-place in America East, while the Wildcats are on a 3-0 run and are 3-5 in conference play this season. In the previous game between these two squads, Binghamton hosted New Hampshire at the Events Center and won, 82-74.
