CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Boston University's Arik Seiler (Portland,
Maine/Deering) and Maine's Colleen Miller (Missoula, Mont./Hellgate)
took home men's and women's performer of the week honors,
respectively, while, the Terriers' Andre Watson (Hempstead, N.Y.) and
Tess Waresmith (Dover, Mass./Dover Sherborn) earned Diving Performer of the Week
accolades. The conference made the announcement on Wednesday
afternoon for the week ending February 4.
Seiler, a sophomore, posted three wins in Boston U's win over Boston College on Tuesday. He won the 100 free with a time of 47.48 and also took the 200 free in 1:56.79. Seiler also captured the 200 IM in 156:79 and swam on the Terriers' second-place 200 free relay squad.
Miller, a junior, won a pair of races against Dartmouth on Saturday after placing second in the 1,000 free against New Hampshire on Thursday. She also swam the lead leg of the 200 free relay squad, which defeated the Wildcats. Miller took the 200 free (1:56.34) and the 500 free (5:09.33) against the Big Green.
Watson,
a junior, earned men's diving honors for the second week in a row. He set a pool record of 363 points in the one-meter event and placed second in the three-meter event with 258 points.
Waresmith, a junior, remained undefeated this season and garnered her seventh Diving Performer of the Week award. She won the three-meter dive with a score of 275.55 and also placed first in the one-meter with a score of 306.30.
The 2008 America East Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championship will take place February 14-17 at the University of Maine.

of New Hampshire Wildcats on Thursday by a score of 184 - 11 lost to the
