CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--University at Albany's Jean Juste and Stony Brook University's Lucy Van Dalen earned weekly honors as America East Men's and Women's Track Performers of the Week, while University at Albany's Luke Schoen and Boston University's Tahari James received America East Field Performers of the Week. The conference made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon for the week ending February 11.
Junior Juste (Hempstead, N.Y./Uniondale) placed second in the 55-meter hurdles in an IC4A-qualifying time of 7.52 seconds at Boston University's Valentine Invitational on Saturday, February 9 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
Freshman Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) was the first collegiate female athlete to cross in the one mile at the Valentine Invitational with a time of 4:46.10.
Sophomore Schoen (Bohemia, N.Y./West Islip) placed second in the pole vault with an IC4A-qualifying height of 16-feet, 8.75-inches to tie his own school record in the event at the Valentine Invitational. Schoen eclipsed the bar at 16-8.75 for the second consecutive meet, having set the record on February 2 at Yale's Giegengack Invitational.
Senior James (Branfort, Conn.) earned the top spot in the long jump Friday at the Valentine Invitational, jumping 19-feet, 9.75-inches. James also placed 12th in the 200m dash with a 25.12 mark.
