No. 5/6 Duke vs. Hartford (DePaul Tournament) 6:30 p.m.
The Hawks play the Blue Devils in the first round of the DePaul Tournament in Chicago. Also participating in the tournament is DePaul and Southern University... Hartford will be the second America East team to play Duke already on the young season.
Portland State at Binghamton 7 p.m.
The Bearcats play at the Events Center for their 2008-09 home opener... Portland defeated Binghamton in a down-to-the-wire game on the West Coast last year, 62-60.
Northern Illinois vs. UMBC (Seton Hall Basketball Classic) 8 p.m.
The Retrievers travel to South Orange for the Seton Hall Basketball Classic... Potential second round opponents are Seton Hall and Wagner... UMBC is averaging 72.5 points per game this season, nearly 13 points better than last season.

Junior Carlee Cassidy and freshman Michelle Kurowski each netted 22 points in the Retrievers' home opener... The victory marks the first win for UMBC over the Patriots in the all-time series.

Sophomore Samantha Norwood scored a career- and team-high 15 points on 3-for-3 field goal shooting and 7-for-8 free-throw accuracy... Sophomore Kirsten Jeter added 11 points, two swipes and four rebounds.
Binghamton 66, at Colgate 41
Head Coach Nicole Scholl earned her first win as a Division I coach, helped by junior guard Muffy Sadler's game-high 18 points... The Bearcats' defense forced 22 turnovers and didn't allow a single Raider to score double-figure points.

Junior Candace Williams led the Wildcats with 16 points, while freshman Abigail LaRosa netted 14 points... Sophomore center Jill McDonald recorded game-highs of nine rebounds and four blocks.

The road-weary Great Danes fell in their third straight game to open the season...
Sophomore Janea Aiken scored a team-high 14 points for Albany... The Great Danes held a one-point lead at halftime.
