Tonight's Boston U-Binghamton Women's Soccer Game To Be Nationally Televised

VESTAL, N.Y. -  Thursday's America East women's soccer clash between Boston University and Binghamton University will be televised nationally on the FOX Soccer Channel at 8 p.m. The game, which will take place in Vestal, is the NSCAA College Game of the Week

Boston University (7-5-1 overall, 2-0-0 America East) continues its pursuit of second straight America East title and fourth straight trip to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. Boston U., which is ranked fourth in the latest NSCAA Northeast rankings, is unbeaten over its last four games, outscoring opponents by an 8-1 margin. Senior Emily Pallotta leads the Terriers with three goals on the season.

Binghamton (5-5-1, 1-2-0) is in search of its fourth trip to the America East Championship semifinals in the past four years. The 2005 champions, the Bearcats snapped a four-game winless streak with a 1-0 win at UMBC last week. Sophomore Dani Raske has accumulated a conference-best 13 points in 11 games this season.

The top six teams in the conference will advance to the 2008 America East Championship, which will get underway with quarterfinal action on Thursday, Oct. 30. The semifinals will take place November 2, with the championship game slated for November 8 or 9. All games will be played at the higher seed.
