Who’s Back:
Kirsten Jeter (So., F, 5-10, 9.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg) An All-Rookie Team honoree... Finished second on the team in scoring helped by 10.9 ppg in conference contests... Top returning scorer and rebounder.

Misha Horsey (So., G, 5-5, 5.7 ppg, 2.1 apg) Fifth on team last year in scoring and second in assists... Started in every game for the Seawolves and averaged the second-most minutes.

Who’s gone:
Dana Ferraro (F, 6-1, 8.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg) Third-Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team pick... Finished 5th in America East career rebounding... Also averaged over 1.5 steals per game... Third on team in scoring.

Aly Young G, 6-0, 10.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.16 apg) Led team in scoring and led the league in steals (2.13 spg)... Posted 17 blocks to rank 11th in the conference.

Newcomers:
Coach Michele Cherry added two guards and a forward/center to her roster for the 2008-09 season including junior college transfer Casie Klockgether who averaged 20.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, Calif.). She went on to earn first-team allstate honors.

Notable:

The Seawolves' home gym, Stony Brook Arena, is undergoing a $20 million renovation and expansion for the 2009-10 season. The Stony Brook basketball teams will play at neighboring Pritchard Gymnasium
