Who’s Back:
Carle Casidy (Jr., G, 5-9, 17.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.0 apg) The first Retriever named America East First-Team All-Conference... Led the league in scoring and in three-pointers made (67) as a sophomore... Enters this season as a Preseason All-Conference.

Chantay Frazier (Sr., G, 5-8, 10.8 ppg, 4.2 rpg) Twelfth in the conference in scoring, and ninth in field goal percentage (.457)... Top returning rebounder.

Who’s gone:
Kristin Drabyn (G, 5-7, 11.4 ppg, 2.1 rpg) Third-Team All-Conference... Eighth in conference in scoring... Had the seventh-best three-point percentage (.356) in the conference.

Morgan Hatten (G, 5-10, 5.8 rpg, 5.0 rpg, 2.46 apg) Averaged over 30 minutes per game over 26 games... Finished last season as the team's leading rebounder.

Newcomers:
Eight newcomers (seven freshman, one transfer) will step on the court for the Retrievers this year.

Notable:
UMBC opens up the season with George Washington for the third straight year, and in D.C. for the second time during that span. The Colonials ended last season ranked 14 in the coaches' poll.

Former Retriever assistant Katie Rokus will be on the other bench during UMBC’s game against the Colonials. Rokus was named George Washington’s top assistant and recruiting coordinator this past July after five years of service under Stern.
