Joe Zeglinski hit a jump shot with 27 seconds remaining to break a 67-67 tie and give the Hawks the win... Zeglinski led his team with a game-high 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting... He also added five assists and four rebounds... Anthony Minor added 12 points... Michael Turner had 11.

Thursday, January 3

*at New Hampshire 75, Albany 64

The Wildcats outscored the Great Danes 22-12 over the final 5:42 to snap their seven-game losing skid...Tyrece Gibbs led four Wildcats in double figures with 19 points... Eric Gilchrese added 18 and converted 13-of-15 attempts from the free throw line. Senior Brian Lillis led the Great Danes with 14 points.

*UMBC 83, at Stony Brook 64
The Retrievers went on a 16-2 run midway through the first half and never trailed in the contest... Darryl Proctor recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 16 rebounds... Jay Greene added 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting and dished out six assists... Nick Carter scored a game-high 17 points off the bench for the Seawolves.

*at Vermont 71, Binghamton 60
The Catamounts held the Bearcats to 26 percent shooting in the first half and shot 56 percent from the field in the second stanza... Marqus Blakely recorded a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds... Kyle Cieplicki added a game-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting... Mike Gordon led Binghamton with 21 points... Richard Forbes added 16.

Wednesday, January 2
at Holy Cross 65, Boston University 62

Colin Cunningham hit a jumper with 22 seconds remaining and the Crusaders converted 5-of-6 free throw attempts in the final second to hang on for the win... Boston University's Corey Lowe scored a game-high 20 points, including 14 in the second half... Carlos Strong added 18 points, six assists and five rebounds... Scott Brittain contributed 15 points and eight boards.

at Colgate 70, Maine 62
The Red Raiders shot 52 percent in the first half and outscored the Black Bears 33-26 in the frame en route to the win... Mark Socoby led Maine with a game-high 22 points... Junior Bernal poured in 18.

*UMBC at New Hampshire, 12 noon

The two teams split last year's meetings with the home team winning each time... All five of the Retrievers' starters are averaging at least 9.7 points per game... The Wildcats' Eric Gilchrese has scored in double figures in each of the past four games and is averaging 17.0 ppg during that span.

*Vermont at Albany, 1 p.m.
The two teams met in last season's America East Championship with the Great Danes edging the Catamounts, 60-59, in the game's final seconds... The Catamounts have won 12 straight regular-season league games dating back to last season... The Great Danes lead the conference in rebounding margin, best their opponents on the glass by 7.4 boards per game.

*Boston University at Binghamton, 2 p.m.
The Terriers won both meetings last year by 12 points... The Bearcats average a league-best 3,350 fans per game through their first six home contests... With a win, Boston U. head coach Dennis Wolff will earn the 250th victory of his career.

*Maine at Stony Brook, 7 p.m.
The Black Bears took both meetings a year ago... The Seawolves' Demetrius Young has pulled down double-digit rebounds in three straight games and ranks second in the conference with 8.5 boards per game... Kaimondre Owes, a transfer from St. Peter's, scored 21 points in his Maine debut on December 31.
