Binghamton's Adam Chavez Chosen NSCAA Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, Kan.-- Binghamton men's soccer standout Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) has been named a NSCAA/adidas First-Team Scholar All-American for the 2007 season. The selection was based both on his academic and athletic accomplishments.

Chavez, who was chosen the America East Defender of the Year, led the Bearcats to the league's regular-season title and a runner-up performance in the conference tournament. A senior defender, Chavez also earned first-team NSCAA all-region honors and was a first-team all-conference selection for the second straight year.

Chavez has a 3.47 cumulative grade point average and was a member of the America East men's soccer all-academic squad.
