CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- University of Vermont sophomore guard Courtnay Pilypaitis (Ottawa, Ontario/St. Peter) earned America East Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points per game in the Catamounts' 2-0 week. New Hampshire rookie forward Denise Beliveau (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) captured the America East Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season and first since December 17. Along with averaging 20.5 points per game, Pilypaitis also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and collected three blocks and three steals. The sophomore shot 45.2% from the field, 45.5% from three-point range (5-for-11) and went 8-for-9 from the foul line. In the win over New Hampshire, Pilypaitis scored 19 points and added five rebounds and four assists. Later in the week, she added 22 points (17 in the second half), six rebounds and four assists in the win over Maine. Pilypaitis is second in scoring during league play this season with 18.7 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
Beliveau led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 points at Vermont, then posted 18 again against Boston University at home. The freshman went 13-for-19 from the floor on the week and nailed all eight free-throw shots. She pulled down seven boards to go along with three assists and two steals at Vermont. On Saturday against the Terriers, Beliveau had 11 points in the second half, going 2-for-2 from three-point land, which allowed for an 11-point Wildcat lead. She added six boards and dished out three assists in the game. Beliveau is the top-scoring freshman in the conference and is the only player to have hit all her free-throws (16-of-16) in America East play.

Sophomore Aly Hinton picked up her own rebound and then shot the game-winning lay-up with 1.5 seconds left... Junior Jesyka Burks-Wiley fouled out, but scored a Terrier-high 19 points, and classmate Kristi Dini netted four three-pointers en route to 14 points... Senior Ashley Cerniglia buried six three-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats... UNH sophomore Candace Williams also notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards... Until the final score, the Terriers never led in the second half.

Sophomore Courtnay Pilypaitis went 9-for-19 from the field and shot 50% from three-point range to score 22 points while also finishing with four assists, six rebounds and two blocks... Kelli Poles finished just one rebound shy of her second double-double in three games (nine rebounds, 10 points)... Sophomores Amanda Tewksbury and Brittany Boser, and junior Colleen Kilmurray finished with a team-high 12 points for the Black Bears, and rookie Emily Rousseau chipped in 11 points.

Senior Danielle Hood scored a game-high 20 points for the Hawks to go along with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes... Sophomore Diana Delva finished with 12 boards, nine points and two boards.... The Great Danes forced the Hawks into 18 turnovers, four more than the hosts had averaged coming into the game... Albany junior TaNika Thrower paced the visitors with 17 points, six boards, two assists and two steals.

The Bearcats got 11 points and six rebounds from senior Juta Jahilo and 10 points, four boards and four assists from sophomore Erica Carter... Junior Laura Franceski blocked five shots on the afternoon while also chipping in nine points and five rebounds... The Seawolves shot under 22% (.197) from the field for the second straight game... Kairsten Nunn led Stony Brook offensively with 11 points from off the bench.

UMBC sophomore Carlee Cassidy leads the Retrievers and the league in scoring with 17.5 ppg...
