CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--University of New Hampshire's Gabriel Dano and UMBC's Alex Hyland earned weekly honors as America East Men's and Women's Track Performers of the Week, while University at Albany's Luke Schoen and University of New Hampshire's Camille Quarles received America East Field Performers of the Week. The conference made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon for the week ending January 21.
Freshman Dano (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) won three events in New Hampshire's dual-meet win over Holy Cross and Quinnipiac, winning the 55 meter, 200 meter, and 4x400 relay. Dano had times of 6.65, 23.47, and 3:30.09, respectively.
Junior Hyland (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South/St. Francis Pa.) recorded her second ECAC-qualifying mark in the one-mile run at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational last weekend while finishing second. Hyland dropped almost nine seconds to run a career-best time of 5:00.82, the second-fastest time in UMBC history. Hyland has also qualified for the 3000 at ECAC's after setting a new school record of 9:52.47 at the Bucknell Gulden Relays.
Sophomore Schoen (Bohemia, N.Y./West Islip) placed second in the pole vault by clearing the bar at an IC4A-qualifying height of 16-feet, 2.75 inches (4.95m) at NYU's Gotham Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y.
Freshman Quarles (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) finished first in both the long jump and triple jump in New Hampshire's dual-meet win over Holy Cross and Quinnipiac. Quarles set a new school record in the triple jump with a jump of 11.50 meters. She won the long jump with a distance of 5.29 meters.

UAlbany’s Brenna Militello won the high jump and qualified for the ECAC meet to highlight the Great Danes performance at New York University’s Gotham Cup on Friday, Jan. 18 at the Armory Track & Field Center. In the men’s competition, junior Joe Greene qualified for the IC4A meet in the 500-meter dash with a second-place performance in a time of 1:03.12. The Bearcats will be back in action Friday, January 25 at the Great Dane Classic (NYC Armory) beginning at 2 p.m.
Boston U
The Boston University men's track team had a strong showing in the field events at the Multi-Team Meet at the Track and Tennis Center Thursday, taking the top three spots in the shot put and second in the long jump. On the women's side, five of the top ten spots in the 55m dash belonged to Terrier runners. [Boston Story]

Maine
The University of Maine track and field teams competed in the Vert et Or (Green and Gold) Invitational at the Univeristy of Sherbrooke (Quebec) on Saturday. New Hampshire
University of New Hampshire women’s indoor track and field team won their dual-meet Saturday at the Paul Sweet Oval. UNH’s 166 points were too much for both the College of the Holy Cross (119) and Quinnipiac University (47). [New Hampshire Women's Story]

Stony Brook
Stony Brook University's track and field team competed Friday at the Gotham Cup at the Armory Track in New York City. The Seawolves were one of 11 different schools at the meet and placed in the top-10 in eight different events. [Stony Brook Story]
Vermont
The University of Vermont men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams won their home meet for the fourth straight year at the Gardner-Collins Indoor Track on Friday afternoon. The UVM women’s team took home first place with 90 points and was followed by McGill University (38 pts) and Middlebury College (21 pts).
