* Binghamton 64, at UMBC 58
At Midday Madness at the RAC Arena, junior Laura Franceski recorded 27 points, six blocks and three steals for the Bearcats... The win marked Binghamton's first road victory of the season... The Retrievers' Player of the Game, senior Morgan Hatten, notched 16 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists, a block and two steals... Retriever sophomore Carlee Cassidy netted 21 points, her fifth time reaching the 20-point plateau in the last seven games.
* at Vermont 73, Albany 58
The Catamounts opened up a four-game homestand, the longest of the season, with the Great Danes, handing Albany its first conference loss.... Sophomore Courtnay Pilypaitis led all scorers, and four Catamounts in double figures, with 17 points, while dishing out eight assists and bringing down eight rebounds... Albany's Gia Sanders had her second straight outstanding performance as she finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks.
* Hartford 71, at New Hampshire 56
The Hawks handed the Wildcats their eighth-straight loss... Hartford sophomore Erica Beverly posted her second consecutive double double, and third on the season, with 10 points and 11 rebounds... Senior Danielle Hood shot 7-for-13 from the floor and finished with a team-high 17 points...
The Hawks shot 42% for the game... For New Hampshire, sophomore Amy Simpson scored a game-high 20 points and also had five assists.
* at Stony Brook 72, Maine 65
For the Seawolves, seniors Aly Young and Dana Ferraro notched 25 and 17 points, respectively... Ferraro also added 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one swat... Stony Brook shot 48% from the floor in the first half and held a three-point lead at the half... Meanwhile, Maine went 11-for-21 on field goals in the first frame for 52.4%... Sophomore Amanda Tewksbury finished with 17 points for the Black Bears to go along with five rebounds and four assists.

Saturday, January 19
* Stony Brook at Boston University 1 p.m.
The Terriers are sixth in the country in free-throw percentage with a 79.6% team mark, and also 11th in turnovers per game (14.1) and 14th in assist to turnover ratio (1.07)... After a win against Maine, Stony Brook is looking for its first pair of consecutive wins this season... Last season, the Seawolves had two win streaks of seven wins apiece during the conference schedule.
* Hartford at Maine 7 p.m.
Hartford sophomore Erica Beverly is averaging a double-double of 10.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in three conference games this season... Classmate Diana Delva is averaging 16.0 ppg against conference rivals in 2008... The Black Bears have outrebounded opponents by 6.3 boards during the conference schedule, led by Amanda Tewksbury with 4.7 rpg.
* New Hampshire at Binghamton 7 p.m.
Both games between these squads last season were tight ones--- a 58-55 overtime win for the Wildcats in January, and a 66-61 Bearcat victory in the last regular season game for both teams...With 27 points in the last outing, junior Laura Franceski is averaging 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in conference contests for Binghamton... Sophomore Amy Simpson is one of three Wildcats averaging over 30 minutes per conference match, leading the way at 37 minutes per game.
Sunday, January 20
* UMBC at Vermont 1 p.m.
This is the first meeting between the Retrievers and Catamounts since UMBC bounced UVM out of the conference championship semifinals last year, 67-56... Sophomore Retriever Carlee Cassidy, who scored just three points in the semifinal, is averaging 17.8 points per game this year to lead the conference... Another sophomore, Courtnay Pilypaitis, leads the host Catamounts with 14.4 ppg.
