CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Hartford sophomore forward/center Diana Delva received the America East Women's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Hawks over the Vermont Catamounts Sunday evening in a match-up between the two teams picked to finish 1-2 in the preseason coaches' poll. Delva (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) led the Hawks with a season-high 19 points to lead all players in a win over Vermont on Sunday. Delva finished the game shooting 8-of-10 from the field to extend her hot hand in conference play to 12-of-16 from the floor. Delva also finished the game with a 3-of-5 effort at the free throw line while adding six rebounds, a block and a steal to her credit. Delva is averaging 10.2 points per game on the season, and 16.5 points per game in conference play, the best mark for the Hawks and third in the conference. She also leads the team in rebounding for the season at 6.8 boards per game. This is the second weekly honor for Delva this year, as she received co-honors for the week of December 9.

Colabella (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) is the recipient of the Rookie of the Week after she scored eight points, one shy of her career high, and posted a career-best nine rebounds in the Retrievers' 61-58 victory over Stony Brook. Colabella made her second career start against the Seawolves and played a career-high 35 minutes. She made the best of that start, sinking all four of her free throw attempts, dishing out two assists and also posting a block and a steal. It is Colabella's first rookie honor.
