Bearcats Remain Perfect, Retrievers Keep Unbeaten Streak Alive in Men's Soccer

Binghamton notched a 1-0 win over Pitt to capture the title at the Pittsburgh Invitational. With the win the Bearcats improve to a perfect 4-0, the team's best start since 1987. In addition, they have shut out their first four opponents for the first time since that same season two decades ago. Furthermore, the Bearcats have won back-to-back in-season tournaments for the first time since 2004.

Another team off to a fast start is UMBC, the Retrievers are unbeaten at 3-0-1 after a 1-0 win over Iona at the adidas Kick Off Classic. The Retrievers are off to their best start since the 1999 season. In that campaign, UMBC (19-1-2) did not lose until an NCAA Tournament game at Duke.

Kyle Urso and Scott Rowling each netted a goal in UNH's 2-0 win over Massachusetts in the final day of action at the Smith Barney Classic.

Stony Brook posted a 3-1 win over Long Island-rival Hofstra. Collin Geoghegan scored his first two collegiate goals and Michael Palacio had two assists in the winning effort.

Hartford picked up its second victory of the young season with an impressive 3-0 win over St. Peter’s College. Andreas Blamo had a pair of goals to pace the Hawk offense.
