America East Men's Soccer Enjoys Strong Opening Weekend

T.J. Gore scored in the 48th minute as Vermont defeated WCC power San Francisco 1-0 Friday night at San Francisco. The Catamounts also dropped a 2-0 decision vs. Santa Clara, ranked No. 6 in the NSCAA Pre-Season poll, on Sunday.

Erik DiLorenzo scored the game-winner as Albany defeated Adelphi, 2-1. The Great Danes lost to host VCU to split at the Nike/Alltel Classic in Richmond, Va.

Stony Brook opened with two difficult opponents at Big East rivals Seton Hall and Connecticut, which was ranked 25th in the NSCAA Pre-Season poll.

Boston University will play host to crosstown Northeastern tonight at 7. The Terriers drew a school record 5,111 in a 1-0 loss to intra-city rival Boston College Saturday.
