CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Two field hockey teams represent the conference in the national rankings, while two men's soccer teams and three women's soccer teams from America East are among the Northeast's best in the polls this week.

University at Albany (5-3) stayed put with their 18th-place ranking in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches' Association poll after crushing cross-town rival Siena, 7-0, and falling to #11 Boston College in overtime, 2-1. The Terriers (6-2) moved up a spot to 19 with wins last week against UMass, Northeastern and Dartmouth. Vermont (6-3) continued its tough non-conference schedule last week, and were rewarded for their play with votes in the weekly poll.

In men's soccer, UMBC (3-1-1) dropped its first game of the season to VCU, and is ninth in this week's NSCAA Northeast poll. Binghamton (5-2-0) shutout it's fifth-straight opponent early last week to open the season, but then lost its first two games of the 2007 campaign. The Bearcats' efforts rank them 10th in the Northeast.

Boston University (2-4) played two top programs in women's soccer last week, dropping 1-0 contests to Harvard and #8 Boston College. Still, the Terriers are the eighth-best team in the Northeast according to the NSCAA. New Hampshire follows two teams behind in the 10 spot with a 1-0-1 record last week, and 4-1-1 overall. The Soccerbuzz polls flip-flop the Terriers and Wildcats (UNH 9th, BU 10th) and also include Stony Brook (3-2-1) at 14 in the Northeast poll.
