BOSTON --Former UMBC attackman Brendan Mundorf has been selected to play in the sixth annual Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game, which will be held on Sunday, July 8 at Harvard Stadium at 12:30 p.m. The All-Stars were selected by the League's head coaches, general managers and players.
Mundorf, in his second season with the Denver Outlaws, will compete for the Western Conference All-Stars. He was seventh in the MLL in scoring before last night’s five-goal, one-assist effort in a 22-14 win over the Chicago Machine before a league record crowd of 19,797 fans at INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium. Mundorf now has 24 goals and nine assists through the first seven games of the season and was named the Bud Light MVP of last night’s Outlaw victory.
For the first time in the MLL's seven-year history, the game will match up all stars from the Eastern Conference against their Western Conference counterparts. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with Joe Beninati and Quint Kessenich calling the action.
