The 2007 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship gets underway today with two semifinal actions at John Fallon Field in Albany, N.Y.

The day's first semifinal contest pits No. 3 Binghamton versus No. 2 UMBC at 4 p.m. The Retrievers needed a game-winning goal by Drew Westervelt (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) with just one second remaining in double overtime to defeat the Bearcats 11-10 in the regular-season meeting between the two back on April 14.

The league's fiercest rivalry will be renewed as top-seeded Albany plays host to No. 4 Stony Brook in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. The Great Danes cruised to a 14-5 victory at Stony Brook back on April 7.

The semifinal winners will then meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the conference title on the line. The league champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
