Stony Brook's Emily Jaissle (Northport, N.Y./Northport) has been named America East women's lacrosse Player of the Week, while New Hampshire's Kelli LaPerch (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster) has been tabbed Defensive Player of the Week and Amanda Gable (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg) of UMBC earns the first Rookie of the Week award of her career. The awards were named on Monday (April 9).

In the Seawolves 16-13 win over Boston University, Jaissle broke out for five points off four goals and an assist. She also added four ground balls and three caused turnovers. With the Seawolves trailing 7-3 in the first half, Jaissle rattled off three of SB’s next five goals and added an assist to go into the locker room tied at eight. She also tallied a goal late in the game to seal the victory, Stony Brook's first ever versus the Terriers.

LaPerch had another stellar week at the defensive end of the field with eight ground balls, five caused turnovers and three draw controls. In UNH’s stifling defensive effort at Albany, LaPerch recorded three caused turnovers and three ground balls, as well as one draw control as the Wildcats limited the Great Danes to one first-half goal and held them scoreless for the last 22:53 of the game. Earlier in the week against nationally-ranked Vanderbilt, she recorded a game-high five ground balls as well as two caused turnovers and two draw controls.

Gable scored three goals and added an assist for four points last week. She tallied an assist in the second half against American, then posted the second hat trick of her career against Binghamton with two goals during UMBC’s 11-0 opening spurt. She also picked up two ground balls and recorded one draw control and one caused turnover.
