BURLINGTON, Vt. ? The University of Vermont field hockey team volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House as part of the Spring Thaw Fashion Show & Tea earlier this year. Continuing their relationship the Ronald McDonald House, the team acted as the serving staff for the event, as they were in charge of setting the tables, serving food and beverages, running the raffle, and cleaning up afterwards. The four-hour event was a success, tripling their event income.

The proceeds from the show assisted in the organization providing a home-like atmosphere for families and children seeking medical treatment at Vermont Children’s Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care and support many other programs that benefit children’s projects.

Vermont is coming off one of its most successful seasons in program history after finishing 11-8 last season. The Catamounts recorded the second-most wins all-time with 11 this past season and reached the semifinals of the America East Championship for a second consecutive year and third time overall.
