Resetarits Repeats as America East Player of the Week

For the second-consecutive week, Albany’s Frank Resetarits (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) has been named America East Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, while UMBC’s Kyle Wimer (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) garners the first Rookie of the Week accolade of his career. The awards were announced Monday (March 5).

Resetarits tied a career-high with eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in a 21-8 victory over crosstown-rival Siena in the Great Danes’ home opener. He scored three times in an eight-goal third quarter that broke the game open. The senior moved into fifth place on the school’s career goals list with 109 and has scored four or more goals on 11 occasions as a collegian.

Wimer tallied a goal and six assists on the week for a total of seven points. He contributed a goal and four assists in the win over Air Force and added two additional assists in the setback versus Denver. Wimer has nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) through his first three collegiate games.
