Boston University's Christy Leath (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell Central) has been named America East Player of the Week for the second time this season, while her teammate Megan Currier (Torrance, Calif./Torrance) shares both the America East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors with Hartford's Brittney Stratton (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville). The awards were announced Monday (March 19).

Leath earns her second player of the week honor of the young season as she led the Terriers to a 6-2 record and a tournament title at the Speedline Tournament held at the University of South Florida (USF). The senior catcher batted .500 with 10 hits in 20 at bats including three homers and a pair of doubles. She knocked in seven runs and scored four.

Currier went 5-0 leading the Terriers to the title at the Speedline Tournament and earning the tournament's Most Valuable Player honors. She threw her first collegiate no-hitter in a win over Buffalo. Overall, she tossed four complete games, struck out 15 and allowed just nine earned runs in 37 innings.

Stratton went 5-1 and picked up a save in the circle as the Hawks went 6-2 at the Rebel Spring Games last week.  She posted an ERA of 1.34 over 41.2 innings and recorded a pair of complete-game shutouts. She struck out 41 batters while issuing only 13 walks. Overall, opponents batted just .190 against her for the week. The freshman hurler picked up wins in six straight appearances at the Rebel Games and had a scoreless innings streak of 25.2 innings.
