The University of New Hampshire’s Sarah Von Bargen (E. Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) and Shaunna Kaplan (Framingham, Mass./ Framingham) have been named America East Women’s Lacrosse Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The accolades were announced on Monday (March 12).
Von Bargen recorded six points, all on goals, as well as three draw controls and one caused turnover in two games last week for the Wildcats. She tallied three of the team’s four first-half goals versus Towson and finished with a team-high five goals. Von Bargen opened the week with one goal against Yale.
Kaplan recorded a goal and an assist in both games last week to record totals of two goals and two assists for four points. She was also credited with two draw controls.
