The University at Albany men and the Boston University women turned in repeat performances to take home the league titles at the 2007 America East Indoor Track & Field Championships at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center. The Great Danes capture their fourth title in the last five years, while the Terriers win their ninth title.

On the men’s side, Albany 203.5 ran away with the title. Runners-up of New Hampshire had 128.5, followed by Boston U. with 114 and Binghamton at 92. Maine, UMBC, and Stony Brook finished with 79, 74 and 64 points, respectively, while Vermont (23) and Hartford (1) rounded out the standings.
Boston U. won the women’s side with 178 points, followed by Albany in second with 155. Third place went to New Hampshire with 112 points, Binghamton took fourth with 88, and Vermont had 79. UMBC (69) and Maine (59) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, while Stony Brook ended with 32 and Hartford 8 points.
University at Albany was led by its relay teams as the 4x400 finished first and the 4x800 took second. Also helping the Great Danes to the league crown was Pat Weider’s first-place finish in the 200 and Jean Juste’s 55-meter hurdle win.
Abbey Sadowski led the Terrier’s to the title, finishing second in the mile and 4x800 and third in the 1000. Teammates Claire Robson and Anne Wighton finished second and third, respectively, in the 3000. Freshman Ebony Cotterell earned points for the Terriers, finishing third in the 200.
The men’s rookie of the year award went to Tim Hodge of Stony Brook as he finished first in the 3000 meters. UMBC’s Latasha Bost received the women’s rookie of the year award, winning the 500 and placing second in the 4x400 relay.
Boston University’s David Proctor earned the male track performer of the year award after winning the mile, 800, 4x800 relay and the distance medley relay where he and his teammates set an America East record with a time of 9:54.59. The female track performer of the year award went to Jessica Ortman of Albany. She won the mile, 1000 and the 4x800 relay.
Rory Quiller of Binghamton earned the men’s field performer of the year, beating his own previous America East record with a height of 5.40 meters in the pole vault. Tahari James of Boston University took home the women’s field performer of the year award, winning the triple jump and the long jump. Her long jump of 6.10 meters broke at 14-year-old America East record and is an NCAA provisional distance. James was also part of the third-place 4x400 relay team.
Vermont's Jan Carlson was given the Coaches' Award on the women's side, while Freddie Wills of Albany took the accolade for the men. The Coaches' Award is given annual to the student-athlete compiling the the most point in the conference championship meet.
Albany’s coaches received the men’s coaching staff of the year award, while Boston University took home the honor on the women’s side.
