In the biggest regular-season contest of the season, the first-place Catamounts recorded a crucial victory over second-place Albany in front of a sell-out crowd of 4,538 at SEFCU Arena... With the win, UVM is now two games up on UA in the loss column and the Catamounts hold the head-to-head tie-breaker over the Great Danes by sweeping the regular-season series... Vermont's magic number to clinch the top seed for the 2007 America East Championship is two, while its magic number to secure the regular-season title outright is three... UVM's Mike Trimboli poured in a game-high 24 points, including calmy netted seven of eight free throw attempts in the final 49 seconds to secure the victory... Reigning America East Player of the Year Jamar Wilson led Albany with 21 points... Vermont outrebounded Albany 38-28 and the Cats also attempted 28 more free throws than the Danes (31-3)... UVM stretched its win streak to seven games, while UA's surge was ended at eight games.

The Bearcats used a 20-4 first-half run to cruise to a 27-point victory over the Black Bears... A season-high crowd of 4,587 turned out at the Events Center to witness Binghamton snap its two-game skid and move into eighth place in the league standings...
