CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Boston University's Eric Carlson and University of Maine's Cully Wakelin earned weekly honors as America East Men's and Women's Swimming Performers of the Week, while Boston University's Andre Watson and Tess Waresmith were named America East Men's and Women's Diving Performers of the Week. The conference made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon for the week ending December 10.

Carlson (Atlanta, Ga./Daviess Co. Ky.) swam the lead-off leg of the winning 200-medley relay team. He went on to win the 100 breaststroke in 59.08 seconds, a season-best and a Terrier high for the season. He also placed fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.95 and swam the second leg of the 200-free relay, which finished in 3:17.15.

Healey (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) won both backstroke events for the second week in a row. She finished the 100 yard backstroke in 1:00.57 and the 200 yard backstroke in 2:08.75. Healey was also a member of the 200 yard medley relay team that came in second place. Despite the loss this weekend to Boston University, Healey has now won four backstroke events in a row as the Black Bears head into their winter break.

Watson (Hempstead, N.Y.) won both the one- and three-meter boards with 362.18 and 2.97.08, respectively. He is currently the leader in both events for the conference.

Waresmith (Dover, Mass./Dover Sherborn) remained undefeated on both boards this past weekend as she led the Terriers past the University of Maine Black Bears. She is currently the leader in both events for the conference as well.
