UMBC's Bronson and Terrier Trio of O'Shaughnessy, Watson, and Waresmith Take Weekly Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--UMBC's Justin Bronson and Boston University's Brigette O'Shaughnessy earned weekly honors as America East Men's and Women's Swimming Performers of the Week, while Boston University's Andre Watson and Tess Waresmith were named America East Men's and Women's Diving Performers of the Week.

Junior Bronson (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada/Msgr. Paul Dwyer) led the Retrievers in an America East Conference win over Binghamton on Saturday, tallying three individual victories on the day. Bronson led Retriever sweeps of the 200 and 500 freestyles, turning in times of 1:45.64 and 4:47.57, respectively, while also winning the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.50.

Sophomore O'Shaughnessy (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad) won two events in the Terriers' win over Syracuse on Saturday. O'Shaughnessy led the women's team taking the 200 Individual Medley in 2:08.82 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:21.89.

Junior Watson (Hempstead, N.Y./Holy Trinity) was the top male diver for the Terriers' winning the one- and three-meter boards with scores of 291.37 and 315.76.

Junior Waresmith (Dover, Mass./Dover Sherborn) was the top female diver for the Terriers' winning the one- and three-meter boards with scores of 267.53 and 293.62.

Binghamton
The Binghamton men's and women's swimming diving squads each dropped their respective dual meets against defending America East champions UMBC on Saturday afternoon at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center. The Retriever men were victorious by a 170-127 margin, while the Retriever women came out on top by a score of 172-125. [Binghamton Story]

Boston University

The Boston University women's swimming and diving team defeated Syracuse on Saturday afternoon, 122-119, while the men's squad dropped its first dual meet of the season to the Orange, 130-111. [Boston Story]

Maine
Both teams will return to action Nov. 10, when they travel to face Stony Brook in a dual-meet beginning at 11 a.m., in Stony Brook, N.Y.

UMBC
The UMBC men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept Binghamton on Saturday at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center as the men prevailed with a score of 170-127 and the women, 172-125. [UMBC Story]

New Hampshire

The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team placed first in 13-of-16 events en route to a 173-121 victory over the University of Vermont on Saturday afternoon at Swasey Pool. [New Hampshire Story]

Stony Brook

The Seawolves' return to action Nov. 7, when they travel to face Fordham in a dual meet beginning at 5p.m.

Vermont
The University of Vermont swimming and diving team won 10 of a possible 16 events, but fell to Boston College 155-135 on Sunday afternoon. [Vermont Story]
