Who’s Back:
Brent Wilson was a third-team all-conference choice for the second-straight year after averaging 11.0 ppg. He has played in all 93 games since arriving on campus in 2004-05. The 6-8 swingman enters his senior year with 890 points (9.6 ppg).
2007 America East Defensive Player of the Year Brian Lillis averaged 6.9 ppg and 2.3 apg as a junior.
Senior Jon Iati, the 2004 America East Rookie of the Year, averaged 5.9 ppg a season ago. Iati has 867 career points, including 172 three-pointers.
Who’s Gone:
Jamar Wilson became only the fifth player in conference history to win the America East Player of the Year Award multiple times. Wilson led America East in scoring with 18.8 ppg and helped lead the Great Danes to back-to-back America East titles. He left as the school’s career scoring leader and ranked No. 7 in America East history with 2,164 points.
Jason Siggers was a first-team all-conference selection after averaging 13.8 ppg and 3.9 rpg as a senior.
Newcomers:
The Great Danes welcome three freshmen, two junior college transfers, and Tim Ambrose, who sat out last season.
Notable:
Albany set a school record for Division I wins with 23, while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight season.
