Laine Kurpniece (10.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg) finished last season as the team leader in rebounds and second on team in scoring. She was honored on the third-team all-conference and chosen for the preseason all-conference team this year.

Who’s gone:

Shea Kenny was fifth on team in scoring, and third in assists. She played in 25 games for Binghamton last season, including 18 starts.

Newcomers:

Three freshmen will play for the Bearcats this year, as well as sophomore transfer Theodora Panteli.

Notable:

Binghamton has notched Quarterfinal wins in each of the last two America East Championships, and earned it’s highest preseason ranking this year since joining the conference.

The Bearcats are one of only two teams in the conference to return two 2007 all-conference selections this year. Binghamton is the only team to place two players on the preseason all-conference team.
