Albany Faces Cleveland State in Volleyball NCAA First Round

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- The 2007 America East Volleyball Champion University at Albany will face Cleveland State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as announced during the selection show Sunday evening live on ESPNU. The first round will begin on Thursday, November 29 at selected campus sites. The Great Danes will play on the Penn State campus in University Park, Pa. where the Nittany Lions are the third-seeded team in the 64-team field.

Albany (23-9) secured an NCAA Tournament berth by way of the conference championship. The Great Danes defeated Stony Brook University, 3-2, on Sunday, November 18 in the America East Championship final. Cleveland State (23-8) captured the 2007 Horizon League title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
