CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Binghamton and Vermont, the top two seeds in the America East Men's Soccer Championship, will face each other for the conference title for the second straight season, after each posted shutout victories in the semifinal round on Wednesday.

Cody Germain came off the bench to score his first goal of the season to lead the top-seeded Bearcats to a 1-0 victory over fifth-seeded UMBC. In the 26th minute, Justin Leskow crossed the ball into the box from the left corner and Germain headed the ball into the back of the net. Binghamton, the defending league champions, have reached five straight tournament finals, tying Boston University's run from 1993-97 for the longest such streak in league history.

Lee Stephane Kouadio scored in the 21st minute and assisted on Marty Galvin's goal in the 41st minute as the second-seeded Catamounts blanked sixth-seeded New Hampshire, 2-0, to earn a trip to finals for the second straight year. The Catamounts, who have won four straight including a 2-0 decision over Binghamton on October 31, have gone unbeaten over their last six games and have not allowed a goal during that stretch.

Vermont and Binghamton will meet for the conference title on Saturday, November 17 at 7 p.m. in Vestal, N.Y. The winner of the game will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
