Hartford President Cited as Top 10 Most Powerful in College Athletics

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- The Chronicle of Higher Education has named University of Hartford President Walter Harrison to its list of "10 Most Powerful People in College Sports." The list appeared on the Chronicle's web site on October 5 and in the October 12 print edition.

Harrison serves on numerous NCAA committees. His work as chair of the Committee on Academic Performance has earned widespread praise for creating greater academic standards for eligibility. Harrison has served as president at Hartford since 1988 and has been actively involved with America East throughout his tenure.
