CAMBRIDGE, Mass-- The marquee match of the first day of America East men's soccer conference action proved to be just that as Cameron Keith's goal in the 100th minute gave Binghamton a 2-1 overtime win over Boston University. It was Cameron's second goal of the game and fifth in the past two games.

The matach featured the defending America East Champon Bearcats and the Terriers, who have won a conference-best six championships, on a night when Binghamton dedicated its new new $5 million Bearcat Sports Complex in front of 1,782 fans. The Bearcats are now 8-2-0 overall, 1-0-0 in America East and were ranked No. 7 in the most recent NSCAA Northeast Region Poll. The Terriers are 5-5-0, 0-1-0.

The fact that the game went to overtime should come as no surprise. The Bearcats and Terriers were separated by a single vote in the preseason coaches' poll, with Binghamton earning the top billing. The teams have met in the postseason in each of the last three years, with each game ending in a tie.

In other America East action Saturday afternoon, UMBC got goals from four different scorers in a 4-0 win over Stony Brook. The Retrievers improved to 5-3-2 overall and 1-0-0 in America East while Stony Brook fell to 6-4-1 (0-1-0 in America East).

Steward Ceus made 9 saves and Albany (2-7-1, 1-0-0) was the beneficiary of an own goal in the 107th minute in a 1-0 win over Vermont (3-8-0, 0-1-0). It was the 100th career win for Great Danes coach Johan Aarnio.

Host Maine (2-7-1, 0-0-1) earned a 1-1 draw with New Hampshire (3-3-3, 0-0-1).

In non-conference action, Hartford (5-3-1), which is ranked No. 10 in the most recent NSCAA Northeast Region Poll, dropped a 1-0 decision to Massachusetts.
