CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Vermont University's Jordan Crasilneck and T.J. Gore each scored goals in the first 12:22 of play to lift the Catamounts (6-9-2 Overall, 3-2-2 America East) over first-place Binghamton (12-5-0, 4-3-0), 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon. With one regular-season game remaining before the America East Men's Soccer Championship, just two points separate the top seven teams in the standings.

Binghamton and Boston University have clinched berths in the six-team championship. However, the Bearcats and Terriers can finish anywhere from first to sixth in the standings. The top two seeds in America East draw first-round byes and host the semifinals. The Nos. 3 and 4 seeds host the first-round games.

In other action on Wednesday Boston University moved into a tie with the Bearcats for the top spot in the standings by tying New Hamsphire, 0-0 in double overtime, on Wednesday evening. The Terriers (9-5-3, 3-1-3) extended their unbeaten string to seven games, while the WIldcats (7-4-5. 2-1-4) streak stands at five.

Albany (3-10-3, 2-3-3) kept its playoff hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Maine (3-13-1, 1-6-1). Don Johnson scored less than three minutes into the contest to help the Great Danes snap a five-game winless streak.

Andreas Blamo scored the game-winning goal in Hartford's 2-1 victory over UMBC (8-6-3, 3-3-1). The win, the Hawk's (7-4-5, 2-1-4) first in four games, keeps them alive for a tournament bid.

In non-conference action, Stony Brook played Yale to a 0-0 double-overtime deadlock.
