CAMBRIDGE, Mass. ? America East announced the 2007 Cross Country Coaching Staffs of the Year on Wednesday. By a vote of all the head coaches after the championship, New Hampshire’s Jim Boulanger and his coaching staff earned the top men’s staff and Stony Brook’s Andy Ronan and staff received the honor on the women’s side. Each coaching staff led its respective squads to first-place team finishes. Click here for PDF release.

Boulanger guided the Wildcats to their fifth America East men’s cross country title since 2001. This is Boulanger’s fifth such honor in his 23 years of coaching the New Hampshire cross country program, and first since 2003.

Ronan’s Seawolves dethroned preseason favorite and three-time defending champion Boston University for the women’s team title this year after Stony Brook finished third one year ago. Stony Brook has received votes in the national poll this year and has been consistently ranked among the top four teams in the Northeast this season. This is the third-straight year Ronan has received this award.
