Thursday, January 4 (FIRST NIGHT OF CONFERENCE PLAY)
*Hartford at Stony Brook, 7 p.m.
In a rematch of last year’s first and second-place teams Hartford will travel to Stony Brook. The Seawolves handed Hartford its lone loss of the 2005-06 conference season, 80-71, at the SBU Arena.
*New Hampshire at Maine, 7 p.m.
In an always heated rival game UNH travels to Maine. The Black Bears hold a 40-17 advantage all-time. Last year the teams split with each squad successfully defending its home court.
*Albany at Binghamton, 7 p.m.
The Great Danes travel into the Events Center to open their conference slate. The Bearcats hold a slight edge in the all-time series at 19-17, including a season sweep in 2005-06.
*Boston U. at UMBC, 7 p.m.
In a conference dog fight, the Terriers travel south to take on UMBC. Boston U. holds a 5-2 advantage in the all-time series. However, most recently, the Retrievers defeated the Terriers 63-57 up in Boston.

Albany closed out non-conference play falling to in-state foe St. Bonaventure, 62-45... Freshman guard Britney McGee scored a career-high 18 points and made four three-pointers.... Sherri Mikus chipped in with seven points, three assists and four steals for the Great Danes.

at Vermont 75, Siena 56
Freshman Courtnay Pilypaitis scored a career-high 22 points and added six assists to lead the Catamounts to a 75-56... Kelli Poles finished the game with season-high 10 points in 10 minutes, while Sy Janousek added 11 points in 21 minutes.
Saturday, December 30
Syracuse 68, at Binghamton 65
With the game tied at 60-60, Syracuse came away with three consecutive baskets to take the lead for good and complete the 68-65 come-from-behind win over Binghamton... For the Bearcats, Laine Kurpniece finished with 16 points and six rebounds, while Thompson added 14 points and five rebounds... Muffy Sadler posted a career-high 11 points and eight assists.
No. 3 Duke 71, Boston U. 43,
(Blue Sky Restaurant Classic | Hanover, N.H.)
The Terriers fell to No. 3 Duke 71-43 in the championship game of the Blue Sky Classic... Katie Meinhardt finished with a team-high 12 points, while sophomore Christine Kinneary dished out three assists. For her efforts, Meinhardt was named to the all-tournament team.
St. John’s 85, at Stony Brook 74
Kelly Watson and Jessica Smith combined for 43 points, but it was not enough as the Stony Brook lost to St. John’s, 85-74, in its final non-conference game of the season... Watson, the America East Player of the Game, led the Seawolves with a season-high 22 points... Smith added 21 points and seven rebounds and Ford had 15 points in the loss.
at Lamar 56, Albany 43
Amanda Ward’s team-high 15 points were not enough as Albany was defeated, 56-43, at Lamar in a non-conference action... Kristin Higy tied a season high with 12 rebounds for the Great Danes, while Britney McGee scored 10 points, all in the first half.

Boston U. 77, vs. Dayton 74
(Blue Sky Restaurant Group Classic | Hanover, N.H.)
Katie Meinhardt scored a game-high 24 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the Terriers to a 77-74 victory over A-10 foe Dayton in the opening round of the Blue Sky Classic... Aly Hinton netted 13 points, while Erica Kovach tallied 12 and Kristi Dini added 11 points... Meinhardt also registered seven rebounds and six assists.
Vermont 55, vs. Northeastern 47
(Hawk Classic | Philadelphia, Pa.)
Vermont used a strong second half effort to erase a six-point halftime deficit and earn a 55-47 victory over Northeastern in the consolation game of the Hawk Classic... Courtnay Pilypaitis led three players in double-figures with 12 points. She added 12 rebounds to post her first career double-double. May Kotsopoulos finished with 12 points and seven boards, while Amy Rosenkrantz chipped in 12 points.
Maine 79, vs. Northwestern State 63

Ashley Underwood scored a season-high 23 points to lead three Black Bears in double figures to lift Maine to a 79-63 win over Northwestern State in the consolation game of the Cavalier Classic... Lindsey Hugstad-Vaa netted a career-high 17 points on 7-of-7 shooting, while Katie Whittier notched a double-double with season highs in points (17) and rebounds (12).
New Hampshire 63, vs. Winston-Salem St. 55
(Lady Luck Classic | Blacksburg, Va.)
Candace Williams and Danielle Flowers each scored 13 points to lead the Wildcats to a 63-55 victory over Winston Salem in the consolation round of the Lady Luck Classic... Flowers was named to the all-tournament squad.
UMBC 66, vs. Texas State 51
(Battle at the Border | Edinburg, Texas)
Kristin Drabyn connected on six three-pointers to lift the Retrievers to a 66-51 victory over Texas State at the University of Texas-Pan American Battle at the Border Holiday Tournament... Drabyn scored 20 points, setting a new career high... She shot 6-for-10 from the floor and went 2-for-2 at the charity stripe.
at No. 5 Connecticut 62, Hartford 36 (CPTV)
(Hartford Civic Center | Hartford, Conn.)
Fifth-ranked Connecticut was too much for Hartford to handle as they handed the Hawks a 62-36 loss in front of 14,442 at the Hartford Civic Center... The Hawks were led by Lisa Etienne who finished the game with 12 points and four rebounds. The other leading scorers for the Hawks were Katie Kelley with nine and Danielle Hood with eight.
