Stony Brook's Brooke Barbuto (Syracuse, N.Y./Corcoran) has been named America East Player of the Week, while Boston University's Farrell McClernon (Westchester, Pa./Marion Mercy Academy) has garnered Rookie of the Week honors for women's soccer.

Barbuto, the league leader in points and scoring, has paced the Seawolves to their best start in six years at 3-1-0. The sophomore midfielder has already surpassed her total scoring from 2005 with three goals on the season. In a 2-1 season-opening win over Siena, she tallied the game-winning goal with six minutes left in the game to complete the come-from-behind win. Her second goal came in a 3-2 double-overtime win over Lehigh, while the third came in a 7-0 rout of Wagner.

McClernon netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over 10th-ranked Boston College in the season opener back on August 25th.
