University at Albany's Ricardo Estremera (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Boston University’s Marisa Ryan (Farmington, Conn.) have been named the America East Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Performers of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Tuesday (September 12).
Estremera collects this honor for the second straight week after a sixth-place finish at the Fordham Invitational with a time of 26:18. His finish helped UAlbany’s men’s cross country team to a fifth place finish out of 19 teams.
Ryan , the 2005 Amercia East Scholar-Athlete of the Year, took home first place at the Boston University Invitational held at Franklin Park. Finishing with a time of 12:45, Ryan helped the Terriers to wins over Rhode Island (15-47) and Northeastern (15-48) while losing a tight race to Brown (27-28).
