UMBC to Host America East Men's Lacrosse Championship

Boston, Mass. — The complete field for the upcoming 2006 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship is now set. Top-seeded UMBC will play host to the four-team tournament on May 5-7 at the UMBC Stadium Complex in Baltimore, Md.

The America East Championship semifinal round will be played on Friday, May 5. The first of the two games will be played at 5 p.m. and will feature No. 1 seed UMBC versus No. 4 seed Binghamton. The second semifinal game will be No. 2 Stony Brook against No. 3 Albany and will take place at 8 p.m.

The championship game will be played on Sunday, May 7th at 12 noon and will feature the winners of the two semifinal games from Friday.

The Winner of the America East Championship receives an automatic bid into the 2006 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Albany defeated Stony Brook 16-7 at 2005 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship to earn its third-straight league title.
