America East Conference is represented by Albany and UMBC in the latest Inside Lacrosse Men's DI Media Poll and STX Coaches Poll. The Great Danes are ranked 11th and 15th, respectively, while the Retrievers are 17th and 18th in the polls that were released on Monday (March 27).

Albany's lone game last week marked the first America East Conference contest of the 2006 season as the Great Danes sailed past Hartford, 20-9. UMBC recorded a solid 12-8 victory over ranked Denver on the week to solidify its position in the top-20.
The Great Danes began this week with a hard-fought 12-9 loss to the Ivy League's Dartmouth. Albany and UMBC meet this Sunday at 1 p.m. in a showdown of two of the conference's top squads, which can be seen live on ESPNU. Check your local listings for availability.
Binghamton University also received four votes in the STX Coaches Poll and two votes in the Inside Lacrosse poll, while Stony Brook University garnered three tallies in the Inside Lacrosse poll.
In other league action on the week, Hartford hosts Binghamton and Stony Brook welcomes Vermont on Saturday, with both games slated to started at 1 p.m.
The four top squads in the conference will meet for the 2006 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship on May 5-7 at the highest seed with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
Stony Brook will host the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse North Quarterfinals at the 8,136-seat Kenneth P. LaVallee Stadium on Saturday, May 20.
