Boston University’s Mary Beth Miller (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Senior) is this week’s America East Player of the Week. University at Albany’s Jen Daly (Stowe, Pa./Pottsgrove) earns her first defender of the week honors, while Boston U.’s Sarah Dalton (Cornwall, Vt./Taft School) is this week’s America East Rookie of the Week. The accolades were announced Monday (March 27).

Miller was an offensive force for the Terriers, netting a career-high eight points in the team’s 16-5 victory over Stony Brook after tallying six points in Boston U.’s first ever win over Yale earlier in the week. Against the Seawolves, Miller scored on all five of her shots and assisted on three other goals while also recording two caused turnovers and two ground balls. In the 15-5 rout over the Bulldogs, the senior registered six points, including a trio of goals, to go along with three ground balls. On the year, Miller leads the Terriers in assists with 14 and ranks second on the squad in points with 27.

Daly tied her season-high with 13 saves against both Le Moyne and UMBC last week. She added four ground balls and one caused turnover in the win over the Dolphins. Daly picked up two ground balls against the Retrievers. Daly has allowed six goals or less in four of seven games this season. Her 73 saves rank 12th on the program’s single-season chart.

Dalton helped the Terriers earn the win over Yale, recording four goals on just five shots in the 15-5 victory. With Boston U. leading 6-4 in the early stages of the second half, Dalton scored three straight goals in a span of 52 seconds to help put the game away. She also added two ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers against the Bulldogs. On Saturday, the rookie midfielder tallied a goal in a 16-5 victory over Stony Brook in the Terriers’ America East opener.
