UPCOMING ACTION

Wednesday, December 6 
Brown at Boston U., 5:30 p.m. (Agganis Arena | Boston, Mass.)
Boston U. will entertain Brown at Agganis Arena, a 5,687 seat state-of-the-art building... The Bears are assisted by former America East standout Cindy Blodgett... Blodgett, the two-time America East Player of the Year and four-time America East Championship Most Outstanding Player, led the Black Bears to the title in 1995, ?96, ?97, and ?98. Earlier this year, Blodgett was defeated by her alma mater 62-51 in the opening round of the Dead River Classic.
Vermont at Colgate, 6 p.m.
The Catamounts look to continue their success against the Patriot League, as they have won five straight... Three of those wins have come over Colgate as UVM defeated the Raiders in each of the past three seasons... The other two came this season in wins over Holy Cross and Lafayette... The last UVM Patriot-League loss was a 74-62 loss to Holy Cross on February 5, 2003.
Albany at Buffalo, 7 p.m.
The Great Danes try to get back on track as they travel to Buffalo... Albany is 1-3 all time against the Bulls including a 71-56 loss back in 2000... The Danes are 1-1 in the early going against in-state opponents.
Navy at UMBC, 7 p.m.
The Retrievers play host to Navy in their final non-conference home game of the season... UMBC is 2-2 at home this season including a 78-51 win, most recently... Navy won the last meeting between the two 71-44 back on Dec. 30, 2005.
Stony Brook at Temple, 7 p.m.
America East looks to continue its success against the Owls as Stony Brook travels to play Temple... Last year, Hartford ended Temple’s season early as they upset the sixth-seeded Owls 64-58 at the NCAA Tournament... In addition, the Seawolves downed Temple 58-56 back on Dec. 7.

Thursday, December 7

Tuesday, December 5 
at Boston College 50, New Hampshire 31
Despite holding the Eagles to a season-low 50 points, the Wildcats were defeated by Boston College 50-31... Amy Simpson scored eight points, pulled down four rebounds, and recorded a pair of steals, while Ray Williams netted eight points in just 17 minutes for the Wildcats... Danielle Clark’s 13-game double-digit scoring streak was ended as she went scoreless on the night... UNH owned a 7-4 lead with 12:33 remaining in the opening half after two free throws by Williams, but BC went on a 14-6 run to close out the half... Freshman forward Candace Williams notched a career-high seven points on 3-of-6 shooting in the losing cause, as UNH’s third leading scorer in the game.

Monday, December 4
Hartford 58, at St. John’s 46

Ikea Witt scored a season-best 22 points to lift the Hawks to a 58-46 win over St. John’s... The Hawks become the first America East school to reach the six-win mark... America East schools have won three games against Big East foes over the past two seasons with the Hawks winning two of those games... Witt was one of two players in double digits, joined by Danielle Hood, who finished with 10 points. Witt finished the game shooting 64.3 percent from the floor on 9-of-14... The Hawks forced 20 turnovers and held the Red Storm to just 34 percent shooting for the contest.
