Arthur, Mosser,Miller, Moore Earn Track & Field Weekly Honors

UMBC's Adrian Arthur (Bowie, Md./Bowie) and Boston University's Sarah Mosser (East Aurora, N.Y.) have been named America East Men’s and Women’s Track Performers of the Week, respectively, while Stony Brook University's Justin Miller (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) and University of New Hampshire's Erin Moore (Nashua, N.H./Nashua) earn Men’s and Women's America East Field Performers of the week, respectively. The awards were announced Tuesday (December 5).

Arthur won both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash events at the Bucknell Bison Opener on Saturday. His time of 6.92 is a 2007 IC4A qualifying time, and just two tenths off the UMBC school record of 6.72 set in 1997. Arthur ran a 22.63 in the 200.

Mosser took home two first-place finishes in her collegiate debut at the New Balance Invitational this weekend. The meet featured over 20 colleges and universities. Mosser placed first in the mile with a time of 5:08.38 and first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.70.

Miller won the shot put with a throw of 47-3.5 at the Fordham Quad Meet on Saturday. Miller also claimed fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 45-4.25 as the Seawolves opened up the indoor season with a quality meet.

Moore recorded a second-place finish in the weight throw (48-00.75) and a third in the shot put (42-3.25) to lead the Wildcats' women's indoor track and field team to a successful start to its season at the Husky Winter Carnival on Saturday.
