Vermont vs. Northeastern, 2 p.m.

The Catamounts will square off against former America East foe Northeastern in the consolation game of the Hawk Classic... Vermont owns a 30-22 advantage over Northeastern in the all-time series... Earlier this year, New Hampshire and Boston U. notched wins over the Huskies.
Maine vs. Northwestern State, 4:30 p.m.
(The Cavalier Classic | Charlottesville, Va.)
The Black Bears will take on Northwestern State in the consolation round of the Cavalier Classic... The 4-8 Demons lost to Alabama-Birmingham 84-77 in their opening round game... Northwestern State is a member of the Southland Conference... America East went 2-0 against the Southland on Thursday with Albany defeating Sam Houston St. and UMBC downing Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
New Hampshire vs. Winston-Salem St., 4:30 p.m.
(Lady Luck Classic | Blacksburg, Va.)
The Wildcats will play Winston-Salem State in the consolation round of the Lady Luck Classic... The 4-11 Lady Rams nearly knocked off host Virginia Tech as they held a 31-22 lead before falling 43-33 in their opening round game... Winston-Salem recently moving from Division II to Division I.
Boston U. vs. Dayton, 5 p.m.
(Blue Sky Restaurant Group Classic | Hanover, N.H.)
The Terriers get back into action as they play Dayton in the opening round of the Blue Sky Restaurant Group Classic hosted by Dartmouth College... Boston U. won its last two before the break and looks to pick up from where it left off... The Terriers will either face host school Dartmouth or No. 4 Duke in the second round of the tournament.
UMBC vs. Texas State, 5 p.m.
The Retrievers look to make it three in a row as they travel to Texas State...Texas State is UMBC’s second-straight meeting against a Southland Conference foe... America East is 2-0 against the Southland with a pair of wins yesterday.
Hartford at No. 5 Connecticut, 7 p.m. (CPTV)
(Hartford Civic Center | Hartford, Conn.)
Head coach Jennifer Rizzotti squares off against her alma mater at the nearby Hartford Civic Center... Connecticut will be looking to open its season at 10-0 for the first time since 2002-03... The Hawks are in search of their first win all-time against the Huskies... UConn is 7-0 in the series... Hartford has two of America East’s four wins over the Big-East over the last two years with wins over Seton Hall in 2005-06 and St. John’s earlier this season.

Sherri Mikus scored 14 points to lead three Great Danes in double figures as Albany won its second-straight 58-48 at Sam Houston State... The Danes jumped out to a 36-17 halftime lead powered by 51.6 shooting from the field and cruised to the double-digit victory... Amanda Ward netted 11 points for Albany, while Kristin Higy had 10 points and nine rebounds.
UMBC 66, vs.Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 43 (Edinburg, Texas)
Kristin Drabyn scored a game-high 18 points to lead three Retrievers in double-figures as UMBC earned a 66-43 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi... Sharri Rohde posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Brittnie Hughes had 13 points and eight assists.
Detroit 54, vs. New Hampshire 50 (Blacksburg, Va.)
Danielle Clark led the Wildcats with 16 points and seven rebounds, but it was not enough as Detroit on for the 54-50 win in the first round of the Lady Luck Classic... In addition to the 16 points by Clark, Danielle Flowers and Whitney Edwards each scored nine points.
at Virginia 86, Maine 66 (Charlottesville, Va.)
Lindsey Hugstad-Vaa and Kris Younan each netted a dozen points to lead four Black Bears in double figures, but Virginia won in convincing style 86-66 in the opening round of the Cavalier Classic.
South Florida 77, vs. Vermont 62 (Philadelphia, Pa.)
The Catamounts trailed by two at the half, but a 31.3 percent shooting performance in the second half allowed South Florida to pull away with the 77-62 win in the opening round of the Hawk Classic... Courtnay Pilypaitis scored a team-high 12 points and has four steals.
at Sacred Heart 77, Stony Brook 65
Jessica Smith and Mykeema Ford combined to score 35 points netting 19 and 16, respectively, but Sacred Heart captured the 77-65 win... Smith added nine rebounds and five steals, while Ford handed out three assists.
